Welcome Back!
It is that time of year when we anxiously await all of the opportunities that a brand new school year brings.
On behalf of the staff at Central and West Elementary Schools, I want to welcome all of our students and families to the new school year. We are looking forward to getting to know each family as we start our school year together.
We hope that all of you will be able to attend our Open House on Monday, August 16th at 6:00 for Central and 7:00 for West. We will begin each Open House with a brief meeting in the gym at Central and the auditorium at West. From there, each student and family will be able to go to their homeroom class to meet with their teacher, pick up their schedule, and put away school supplies. The school supply list can be accessed from the Sidney Raiders' website at sidneyraiders.org. Each student will need both a school planner and organizer that can be purchased at the schools the night of Open House or on the first day of school. Each item is $3.00 for a total of $6.00. You will also be able to put money in you family's school cafeteria account.
While you are in your student's homeroom class, please take an opportunity to sign up to help out in your student's class and to read about some of the other Booster Club activities that are planned for the new school year. Enclosed you will find more information about our Booster Club at Central and West.
Don't forget….our first day of school is Wednesday August 18th, with the day beginning at 7:50.
